Welcome to The Looking-Glass Dental Practice. I’m Lawrence Werber, and together with my Practice Manager Nancy O’Connor I would like to welcome you warmly. We hope that you will want to consult us, and look forward to seeing you.
Why 'The Looking Glass'? When we discuss your dental care I will ask you to hold a hand mirror so that you and I are looking at your mouth together. We can then come to a mutual understanding based on what we see, about what you would like to achieve and about what I have found on examination. In many ways it is the most important piece of equipment in the surgery because it is the medium through which we will communicate about what you would like for yourself, and look at what can be done to achieve that.
Digital photos, X rays, and intra-oral camera imaging are other visual aids that we will use as and when appropriate, but the mirror is essential to the way we work.
When we were looking for a name for the practice that expressed our approach and reflected some of my interests, and that had a touch of lightness, Lewis Carrol's wonderful work and Tenniel's delightful illustrations seemed perfect.
