These are some of the things that we believe are important:
- Listening to you so that we can work with you to achieve what you want for yourself.
- Caring for you in a friendly way, with courtesy and respect.
- Treating you with care for your comfort.
- Always being aware of the feelings of fear so many people unfortunately feel about dentistry. Taking those feelings seriously, understanding that they are usually the result of trauma in the past, often in childhood, and therefore impossible to forget.
- Establishing a relationship of trust based on your telling us what you are experiencing.
- Always using surface anaesthesia, and giving this time to work, before commencing sub-surface anaesthesia. Taking time to introduce this very gently, in small, controlled, stages to avoid any discomfort. You should always expect not to feel injections.
- Guaranteeing that we will never do anything unless we have achieved complete anaesthesia and always listening to what you tell us, so that you are always in control.
It is actually not unusual for people to fall asleep during treatment at our practice; we consider this the highest compliment, even if it does sometimes makes it difficult to do the work!
